Former Prisons Commissioner further remanded

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Former Prisons Commissioner Emil Ranjan Lamahewa who was arrested over the Welikada prison riot was further remanded until April 16th by Colombo Additional Magistrate Priyantha Liyanage.
The case was filed over the unauthorized entry into the Welikada prison in 2012 and shooting dead twenty-seven suspects and inmates.
The Criminal Investigation Department notified the court today (April 02) that the investigations are currently being held.
