Colombo (News 1st): According to the Police media spokesperson, notorious underworld figure Mohomad Najim Mohamed Imran alias Kanjipani Imran is being interrogated by the Colombo Crimes Division.

Kanjipani Imran, who was arrested along with the underworld kingpin Makadure Madhush in Dubai, was deported to Sri Lanka on Thursday (March 28).

The group wanted in connection with several crimes including murder and drug trafficking was taken into custody on February 5th by the Dubai Police while attending a party with Makadure Madhush.

Meanwhile, former prison guard Lalith Kumara, who was arrested at the BIA after being deported from Dubai, was remanded until July 5th after being produced before the Kalutara Magistrate’s Court.
