Reuters: A day ahead of his visit with U.S. President Donald Trump at the White House, Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro on Monday (March 18), thanked “God” for his election, and said he was the victim of “fake news” attacks on his campaign.
Trump, who repeatedly lashes out at what he calls “fake news” media, will meet with Bolsonaro at the White House on Tuesday, where the two leaders will hold a joint news conference in the Rose Garden. Trump has been criticized stoking tension with his rhetoric against the media.
Bolsonaro also said that the United States and Brazil should “sort Venezuela out.”
