Reuters: Spain's Alvaro Bautista continued his dominance of the Thai World Superbikes weekend with victory in race two. The world championship leader took maximum points from both races at Buriram, the Ducati rider on Sunday (March 17) leading home defending champion Jonathan Rea's Kawasaki with another Briton, Alex Lowes on a Yamaha third. Bautista raced into the lead from pole position and held it to the chequered flag, the only disappointment for his team being when Chaz Davies rolled to a stop after mechanical problems. Dutch rider Michael Van der Mark was fourth on a Yamaha, Briton Leon Haslam finished fifth on a Kawasaki and Italian Marco Melandri took sixth for Yamaha. Bautista's two weekend wins put him 26 points clear of Rea in the championship after four races. The next rounds are at Aragon in Spain on April 6-7. Result: 1. Alvaro Bautista (Esp) Ducati 2.
