PC Krishantha Pushpakumara resigns

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Southern Provincial Councilor Krishantha Pushpakumara noted that he has decided to resign from his position. He expressed this decision during a media briefing today(March 18). He noted that if a politician is charged with a crime, he/she should begin with surrendering his/her state position and solely focus on clearing his/her name. According to him, any politician who did not follow this, disrespects his people. He said that he will face his court cases as a normal citizen. He finally noted that he did everything in his power for the well being of his people ultimately losing all his assets and for someone who had given up so much, giving up his title was nothing.
