COLOMBO (News1st) – The Department of Meteorology forecasts that most areas of the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central provinces, as well as the Galle and Matara districts, will experience rainy weather today (March 17).

Director General of the Department, Athula Karunanayake states that although this will be a turn of events from the usual dry weather experienced these past few days that it will only be a temporary situation.  He added that certain places of the country could also experience showers or thundershowers in the forthcoming days.
