COLOMBO (News 1st) – The Ruhunu Kumari collided on to a car at a railway crossing at Abeygunawardana Road, Matara resulting in a death and wounding two others.

Police stated that the accident took place around 6.10 a.m. today (March 13).

The 53-year-old father who was traveling with his daughter and brother died in the incident.

The wounded were admitted to the Matara hospital.

It was noted that the driver had ignored the warning lights and attempted to cross the level crossing resulting in this accident.
