Principal arrested for soliciting a bribe of Rs. 8000

Colombo (News 1st): The principal of a national school in Matara District was arrested for soliciting a bribe. Investigations Director of the Bribery Commission Priyantha Chandrasiri said officials arrested the principal while soliciting a bribe of Rs. 8000 in order to enroll a child to the school. The suspect will be produced before the Matara Magistrate's Court today (March 12).
