Colombo (News 1st): Sri Lankan handloom industrialists claim their industry is facing a serious threat as a result of the import cheap cotton-based products.
The handloom industrialists based in Kurunegala allege the market does not provide a proper price for their products to meet higher standards.
They request the government to intervene to safeguard this industry which has survived for many centuries.
