Admiral Wasantha Karannagoda appears before the CID

Colombo (News 1st): Former Navy Commander Admiral Wasantha Karannagoda appeared before the Criminal Investigations Department this morning to provide a statement as instructed by the court over the abduction and killing of 11 youths. The Police Media Unit said the Former Navy Commander arrived at the Criminal Investigations Department at around 9.00 am. An investigation is currently underway with regard to the court case filed in relation to an incident where 11 youths were abducted and killed in 2008. The Supreme Court on the 7th of this month issued an order preventing the arrest of former Navy Commander and 11 others.
