REUTERS - R&B singer R. Kelly was released from Cook County jail on Saturday (March 9) after paying more than $160,00 in lapsed child support. Kelly, 52, pleaded not guilty in February to charges that he sexually assaulted three teenage girls and a fourth woman. The charges were brought after seven women including his ex-wife, appeared on a Lifetime television documentary and accused him of emotional and sexual abuse. Kelly told reporters and fans outside of the Cook County jail that "We're going to straighten all this stuff out." He has denied similar abuse allegations for decades. He was tried on child pornography charges in 2008 and found not guilty. Kelly's attorney Steve Greenberg told reporters his client was an innocent man and reminded them that Kelly was acquitted of past allegations. The singer's next child support hearing is set for March 13 and his next court date on the sex abuse charges is scheduled for March 22.
