PROVIDENCE, RI (News 1st): Chevaan Daniel, Group Director of The Capital Maharaja Organisation Limited has been re-appointed to the Global Advisory Board of the Watson Institute of International & Public Affairs, at Brown University. He was

first appointed to the Global Advisory Board two years ago in 2017.

Brown is an elite American Research University, founded in 1764. The appointed Advisory Board includes senior officials from the UN, International Rescue Committee, WHO, The US Naval College and Médecins Sans Frontières. The role will include spearheading initiatives launched under The Humanitarian Innovation Initiative(HI²) which seeks to develop and foster a more synergetic relationship between the academic and applied worlds of humanitarianism to better fulfill shared goals of establishing effective and sustainable policy and practice. With the launch of the Humanitarian Innovation Initiative, Brown University is in an unique position to bring together traditionally separate areas of academia to tackle the significant and increasing challenges that international emergencies will pose over the coming years. Sri Lanka is ranked 2nd in the 2019 Global Climate Risk Index, up two places from just a year ago.
