President highlights the need for a new Government

Colombo (News 1st) - Speaking at an event held in Colombo, President Maithripala Sirisena stressed on the need for a new government to take Sri Lanka forward while solving the issues across all sectors. The head of state noted that the people of the country can't be happy about the political future of the country. He noted that when considering the issued faced in many sectors, the need for a new government becomes very clear. He noted that the new government should be able to understand what happens in the country both politically and economically, adding that the party and the person in charge should not be key factors. President Sirisena explained that for this to happen everyone who wants a better tomorrow should come together and join hands.
