Extreme heat today : Stay hydrated as much as possible!!!

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Department of Meteorology has issued a heat weather advisory to the general public. A warning of an extreme weather condition is to be expected in most areas of the Northern, North Central and Eastern provinces and the Puttalam and Hambantota districts today (March 08). The department suggests the following precautions for the general public: People working in job sites are advised to stay hydrated and take breaks in the shade as often as possible. Those remaining indoors today (March 08) are advised to take care of the elderly, the sick and the bed-ridden. The department advises that the children should not be kept unattended in vehicles and also limit strenuous outdoor activities. Most importantly the people are advised to stay hydrated as much as possible.
