President to dispatch delegation to Geneva

Colombo (News 1st) - President Maithripala Sirisena says that he will be dispatching a delegation to represent Sri Lanka at the UNHRC sessions that are currently underway in Geneva, Switzerland. Addressing a meeting of media heads at the Presidential Secretariat the head of state noted that he would be dispatching 3 of his representatives to Geneva to appeal to the UNHRC that Sri Lanka should be allowed to handle it's own problems as the country has maintained peace for a decade. President Sirisena has tapped, MP Dr Sarath Amunugama, MP Mahinda Samarasinghe and Dr Suren Raghavan the Governor of the Northern province to represent him at the UNHRC session.
