Wennapuwa provincial councillor claims he is a member of an organized criminal gang

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The police have commenced investigations on a provincial councillor of Wennapuwa. He is suspected to have issued death threats to a meat vendor claiming that he was a member of an organized criminal gang. Information on the phone calls are to be received by the police after the matter is produced before court. The police are conducting investigations to arrest the councillor over criminal intimidation.
