New mechanism to issue passenger tickets in private buses

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The National Transport Commission (NTC) is to introduce a new mechanism for issuing passenger tickets in private buses. The matter is due to be handled by an expert committee. Chairman of the NTC Janaka Mallimarachchi noted that the matter has received approval through a cabinet paper presented by Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation Arjuna Ranatunga.
