"Today MPs can be bought for money" - Maithri Gunaratne

Colombo (News 1st): Governor of the Central Province Maithri Gunarathne spoke to the media following an event in Rikillagaskada today (Feb 26). He believes that the government will not have an issue in passing the budget as MP's can be bought for money. He noted that when they had problems before, they bought MPs for money and that is how they won the motion of no confidence. The governor noted that there are billions from the Central Bank Bond scam, there are millions of swindled from the coal deals.
