SL Army ready to fight war on drugs-Lt. Gen. Mahesh Senanayake

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Sri Lanka Army is keen on eradicating the drug menace and organized crimes in the country. Commander of the Sri Lanka Army Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake spoke to News 1st and said that the Sri Lanka army has the largest land force within the country and it is very much at the disposal of the government to fight the war on drugs. He added that all the resources including the servicemen, intelligence, intelligence networks are prepared to support the police as well as the STF to apprehend drug dealers and traffickers and eradicate other illegal drug-related activities.
