Colombo (News 1st) – The committee appointed to probe the claim made by State Minister Ranjan Ramanayake, on MPs who are addicted to cocaine, is due to be handed over to PM Ranil Wickremesinghe today.
Committee member MP Ashu Marasinghe stated that the report will contain the details revealed by Ramanayake during his testimony. He added that the PM will consider the future course of action after studying the report.
The UNP appointed committee is being headed by Minister Lakshman Kiriella and also includes State Minister Eran Wickremaratne and MP Nishanka Nanayakkara.
Meanwhile, State Minister Ramanayake made another startling revelation recently, soon after his testimony before the committee, and stated that while there are 3 to 4 cocaine users in the UNP while a majority of the drug users are in the joint opposition.
