Report on Parliament brawl tabled in Parliament

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Parliament convened this morning (February 22) and the report compiled regarding the brawl that took place in parliament in November last year was tabled. The submission of the report was followed by a debate. Opposition Leader Mahinda Rajapaksa stated that the matter should be resolved within the parliament and the investigations should not involve the Police. The leader of the house Lakshman Kiriella responded that the law of the country is supreme and that Parliamentary privileges cannot hinder the law of the country.
