Youth who took photographs standing on stupa in Mihintale remanded till 27th

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Anuradhapura chief magistrate and additional district judge Janaka Prasanna Samarasinghe ordered the two youth who had committed sacrilege by standing on a stupa at Mihintale and taking photos to be remanded until the 27th. The lawyers of the defendants aged 18 and 20 from Muttur, requested the court to release the suspects on bail but it was rejected.
