Two ambulances donated to Tangalle Base Hospital

Colombo (News 1st): Minister Sajith Premadasa handed over two ambulances to the Tangalle Base Hospital recently. The ambulances have been presented by the Ministry of Health on a request made by the Minister of Housing, Construction and Cultural Affairs, Sajith Premadasa. The two ambulances cost about Rs. 29.2 million. Speaking at the event Minister Sajith Premadasa noted that an ambulance is not allowed to follow any politician's vehicle in the Hambantota district. He said this is for the public and even if the politicians are in a critical condition, they will always have to give priority to the public. Minister Premadasa said these ambulances aren't for the protection of politicians, but rather the common citizen.
