Protest against CMC garbage disposal in Puttlam

Colombo (News 1st): Tensions flared during a protest organized by a group of locals against the disposal of garbage from Colombo in Puttalam. A hartal took place in Puttalam town today (Feb 15), which resulted in the closure of several businesses and shops in the area. A heated argument broke out when political party representatives were speaking, as local alleged that preferences was given to just one political party.
