Mawathagama protesters block Kurunegala-Kandy Road

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A group engaged in a protest blocking the Kurunegala-Kandy main road at the Mawathagama town this morning today (February 14). In 2015 a part of  Barandana Road, Mawathagama was left out without laying asphalt. The residents of several villages in the area who are inconvenienced by the half-completed road engaged in the protest today (February 14). Our correspondent noted that the group had marched towards the Mawathagama town resulting in traffic congestion along the Kurunegala-Kandy main road.
