PMB begins "Maha" season paddy purchasing

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Purchasing of paddy of the "Maha" season has begun. Chairman of the Paddy Marketing Board, Attorney-at-law Kasthuri Anuradhanayake said that paddy will be purchased focusing on areas that have begun to harvest the paddy.
The Chairman added that they will be purchasing a kilogram of Nadu paddy at Rs. 38.00 and a kilogram of Samba paddy at Rs. 41.00
