400 kg of Kerala Ganja worth Rs. 40 mn seized

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Police Organized Crimes Division arrested two suspects at Peliyagoda while transporting 400 kg Kerala Ganja. According to Police Media Spokesperson SP Ruwan Gunasekara, the 400 kg of Kerala Ganja has a street value of over Rs.40 million. The Police Anti Narcotics Bureau also arrested a 34-year-old Indian who arrived from Mumbai with a kilo of cocaine worth Rs.15 million at the Bandaranaike International Airport. The suspect had attempted to smuggle the cocaine into Sri Lanka by concealing the narcotics in the false bottom of his luggage.
