65,000 A/L re-correction applications

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Department of Examinations states that they received 65,000 applications calling for re-correction of the G.C.E. Advanced Level Examinations Commissioner General of Examinations Sanath B. Pujitha said that the time period between the 30th of December and the 16th of January were open for applications. Re-correction is due to begin next week. 321,469 candidates sat for the G.C.E. A/L examinations 2018. 160,907 of them were qualified for university entrance. The Department added that the results of 119 candidates were canceled.
