Unbearable stench along Deans Road

COLOMBO (News1st) - Reports on residents of Colombo being adversely affected by the inefficient disposal of garbage and the lack of maintenance in the sewage systems surface time and time again. The sewage system on Deans Road, Maradana has inconvenienced the commuters traveling along the road. The public are forced to cover their noses to get past the stench due to the overflowing sewage tank. There is a sub-office of the Colombo Municipal Council in close proximity to the said location. The signboard erected near the building notes that a Health Officer, City Analyst and a Maternity and Children's Welfare Office are also housed in the same building. Residents complain that this stench occurs repeatedly due to a permanent solution not being given to the issue.
