Rainy day ahead

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Department of Meteorology forecasts the prevailing rainfall to continue today (February 05) as well. Certain areas of the Sabaragamuwa, Western, Central, North Central and Eastern provinces and the Galle and Matara districts will experience rainfall of around 75mm. The Department further noted that showers or thundershowers with temporary strong winds may occur in these areas and that the general public should be vigilant in avoiding accidents that could occur due to lightning. The Wayamba, Eastern and Southern provinces will most likely experience strong winds of around 40kmph.
