Makandure Madush arrested in Dubai

Colombo (News 1st): Underworld Leader and drug Kingpin 'Makandure Madush' was arrested with 24 others at a party held at a hotel in Dubai. The police state that among the arrested are five notorious drug peddlers. Police confirmed that two of them are 'Kanji Pani Imran' and 'Keselwatte Dinuka'. Among the others is a popular singer in Sri Lanka Amal Perera, his son, and another Sri Lankan actor. Police said the suspects were arrested during a party held for Makandure Madush's son. Photographs allegedly taken during the birthday celebration are being circulated on social media. Makandure Madush Samarasinghe Arachchige Madush Lakshitha alias 'Makandure Madush' became a key player in Sri Lankan criminal history following the assassination of Danny Hittatiya, the former Chairman of the Southern Development Authority. Madush is linked to many robberies and is reported to have maintained a relationship with the LTTE organization. He is charged with many infamous murders in Sri Lanka and is considered to be the key person who handles the main drug ring in the country. Information is available to claim, he ordered the killings of members of rival criminal gangs over the past few years. Kanji Pani Imran Another arrested suspect named Kanji Pani Imran is a close associate of Makandure Madush. It is speculated that Imran's Gang killed another Underworld Leader Pandithage Shantha Kumara also known as Kos Malli in March Last year (2018). Kos Malli's decapitated head was found close to the Hulftsdorp court. On the 26th of August last year, a woman was gunned down in Maligawatte and she was identified as Imran's first wife. Kesel Watte Dinuka Kesel Watte Dinuka is a member of a criminal gang run by notorious underworld gangster Sanka. He is suspected of peddling drugs on a large scale.
