Wind speed to increase up to 40kmph

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Department of Meteorology forecasts an increase in wind speeds of up to 40kmph across the island both tonight (January 29) and tomorrow (January 30). Wind speeds in sea area could increase up to 50kmph along the coastal regions. The department stated that fair weather will prevail over the island. However, light showers are expected to occur in the Eastern and North-central provinces. Misty conditions can be expected at some places in the Sabaragamuwa, Western and Central provinces during the morning.
