Tri-forces to combat drug menace

COLOMBO (News1st) - The Attorney General's department says that a special study is being carried out to look into the legalities of deploying the armed forces to combat drug trafficking in the country.  AG Jayantha Jayasuriya noted that a special team has been deployed to carry out this task. The AG noted that the Department would provide the necessary advice to streamline the process and allow the armed forces to enter the battle against the drug menace.
