Three arrested with over 112 litres of illicit liquor

COLOMBO (News1st) - Three suspects have been arrested in raids conducted in various parts of the island for the possession of illegal alcohol. Kurunegala  Two suspects were arrested in Kurunegala for the possession of illicit liquor and a foreign manufactured hand grenade. The suspects were arrested following a raid in the Aswadduma area Kurunegala based on a tip-off. 37.5 liters of illicit liquor was found in the suspect's possession. The arrested duo both aged 34 years have been identified as residents of the same area. Ragama  Meanwhile, another suspect aged 40 years was arrested from Ragama, Welisara for the possession of 75 liters of illicit liquor. He was arrested following a tipoff to the Crimes division of the Western province Northern range. The suspect has been identified as a resident of the same area.
