Details of Afghan drug trafficker arrested from Colpetty revealed

COLOMBO (News1st) - The Foreign nationals arrested with a large haul of narcotics from a luxury housing complex in Colpetty are due to be presented before the Fort Magistrates Court today (January 29). The Police noted that the suspects are being presented to the court following lengthy interrogations. Interrogations have confirmed that the Afghan national arrested along with the group is a large scale drug trafficker. The Police express suspicion over more large hauls of narcotics concealed in his possession. Several individuals arrested from within the country for the possession of narcotics had also received their contraband from this Afghan national. The Police also disclosed that the two US nationals arrested with the group were used to distribute the narcotics to drug dealers while they were each paid a sum of over Rs. 100,000 for the task.
