86kg of Kerala Ganja busted in Point Pedro

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A 50-year-old has been arrested from Imbasiddhi, Point Pedro for the possession of over 86kg of Kerala Ganja. The Navy had conducted a raid to seize the Ganja following a tip-off. The Ganja was found concealed in the roof of a house in Viyaparamullei, Point Pedro. The suspect has been identified as an area resident. The Navy said that the suspect and the contraband were handed over to the police in Point Pedro for further investigation. Further, the Navy confirmed that over 509 kg of Ganja were seized in raids carried out within the last three weeks.
