Only Ranil and Sumanthiran know details about the new constitution - MR

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Opposition Leader Mahinda Rajapaksa who attended an event in Beliatta on Sunday (Jan 20), spoke on the PM's new biography and the new constitution. When asked about the PM's decision to write an autobiography in Chinese, Rajapaksa noted that he hopes details of the port sold to China and all other national assets that were sold to foreign nations would be mentioned in this book. Meanwhile, the opposition leader was also questioned on a recent statement made by the Prime Minister that those in the opposition are trying to divide the country without even seeing the constitution. Rajapaksa noted that only Ranil Wickremesinghe and M.A. Sumanthiran are aware of what is happening because of their secret meetings on the constitution. He noted that there is confusion regarding the document which was submitted to the constitutional assembly. Rajapaksa responding to a question also stated that they will stand for the rights of the Tamil people.
