Reuters - Louisville's airport was renamed after it's most famous resident Wednesday (January 16) when officials voted to change the name to Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport.
The Louisville Regional Airport Authority voted unanimously to change the name in honor of the boxing legend who lived in the city until his death in 2016.
The name change will slowly be implemented over the next several months while deals are finalized with Muhammad Ali's estate to use his likeness at the airport.
