Colombo (News1st): Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe speaking at the newly opened Sabaragamuwa University Medical faculty yesterday, commented on the fate of the Mattala Airport. He noted that they are currently holding discussions with Indian Authorities on the future of the Mattala Airport. The premier stated that their main aim is to reduce the losses caused to the Government by the airport. He explained that similarly, the Hambantota port was also a large drain on the country's economy and that they are working with the China Harbor company to reduce this loss. If one cannot provide proper leadership to take the country forward, is it not wise to simply pack up and leave without selling off national resources?
