Fire destroys a 3 story building in Weligama

Colombo (News 1st) -  A Three storey building in Weligama has been damaged due to a fire that erupted at 10.30 PM yesterday. The Matara fire brigade was called in to douse the fire and with the assistance of area residents and Weligama Police officers, they were able to douse the fire within an hour. Our reporter stated that the fire had damaged the two upper floors of the building. Investigations are currently underway to identify the cause of the fire.
