Sri Lanka Army to release 1201 acres

Colombo (News1st): Around 1201 acres of state and private land occupied by the Army is to be released to the original owners. Issuing a release, the Army stated that these lands will be returned at a ceremony graced by the President next Monday (January 21). 970 acres of this lands belong to the Kilinochchi district, another 120 acres belong to the Mullaitivu district. In addition, 46 acres in the Jaffna district and another 63 acres are from the Vanni district are also to be released. The lands have been used for cultivation purposes of the army up until recently.
