CID presents progress report on Lasantha murder investigation

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) presented a progress report on the investigation into the assassination of journalist Lasantha Wickremetunge to courts today (January 17). The case was taken up before the Chief Magistrate of Mount Lavinia Mohamed Mihail. Further, the CID informed court that according to their investigations a single group was involved in the assassination of Lasantha Wickremetunge and the assaults on journalists Keith Noyahr and Upali Tennakoon. The case was postponed to the 10th of May 2019.
