President to hold bilateral discussions with Philippines today

COLOMBO (News 1st) - President Maithripala Sirisena, who left to the Philippines for a five-day official tour yesterday (January 16) is due to hold bilateral discussions with the President of Philipines today (January 16). President Maithripala Sirisena landed in the Philippines last night (January 16) where he was welcomed by the Minister of Trade and Investments at the airport. During his visit to the Philippines, the head of state is expected to further strengthen the political, economic and cultural ties between the two countries and is also expected to sign several MOUs in this regard.
