IGP summoned for voice sample recording

COLOMBO (News 1st) - IGP Pujith Jayasundara was summoned before the government analyst department to obtain a voice sample this morning (January 14). Director General of the department, Ariyananda Welianga noted that this is the first time that the IGP was summoned before the department. The Director-General further noted that he was summoned upon permission of the court to obtain the IGP's voice sample for investigation on the VIP assassination plot. The Department is to investigate if the voice of the IGP is also included in the telephone conversations between Namal Kumara and the former DIG Nalaka De Silva who is now under remand custody.
