Two women arrested in Nalladarankattuwa with turtle meat

Colombo (News 1st) - Sri Lanka Navy has arrested two women involved with the killing of turtles for consumption, in Anawilundawa in Nalladarankattuwa. The Navy noted that turtle meat weighing 25 kgs and 211 eggs were also seized. The suspects are to be handed over to the wildlife office in Anawilundawa for legal proceedings. Another suspect was apprehended by the Navy along with 3.185 kgs of turtle meat on the 10th of January in Vankayalapadu.
