COLOMBO (News 1st) – Samples recovered from the Mannar mass grave are due to be sent to the US on the 23rd of this month.

Professor Raj Somadeva confirmed that the samples will be sent to the Beta Analytic Lab for the purpose of carbon dating.

He further said that the number of skeletal remains discovered from the grave has risen to 300. Recently, measures were taken to further expand the excavation area of the Mannar mass grave.
