Prepare for a wet weekend!

COLOMBO (News 1st) - In its latest weather advisory, the Department of Meteorology forecasts that rainfall is expected to enhance during the next few days. Rainfall is predicted to occur from the 11th-13th of January in the Eastern, Uva, Central, Southern, Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in the Polonnaruwa district. Meanwhile, showers or thundershowers are forecasted to occur at times in the Eastern, Uva, Central and North Central provinces and in the Hambantota district. Showers or thundershowers are also predicted to occur in the Sabaragamuwa and Western provinces and in the Galle, Matara and Kurunegala districts after 2.00p.m. Heavy rainfall over 100mm could also be expected at certain areas of the Eastern, Uva, Central, Southern and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Polonnaruwa district.
