Islandwide blood tests to identify AIDS patients

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Health sector notes that several programs have been launched to minimize the spread of AIDS in the country. Director of the National STD/AIDS Control programme, Specialist Doctor G.Weerasinghe said that island wide blood tests are to be carried out to identify the infected patients. 318 AIDS patients were detected as of the second quarter of 2018 while the figure in 2017 was 285.
