Suspect arrested in connection to the barbaric murder of a dog in Negombo

COLOMBO (News 1st) - One suspect has been arrested in connection to the murder of a caged dog recently in Negombo. The Police confirmed that the suspect a labourer from Negombo had been arrested last afternoon (January 04). The incident had taken place on the 31st of December 2018. Kerosene oil had been poured into the cage of a labrador and set alight while the dog was still in the cage. The dog who was admitted to the hospital with severe burns had succumbed to his injuries the following day (January 01). Further investigation are been carried out by the Negombo Headquarters IP and the Negombo Crimes Division.
