Mahinda Rajapaksa gifted vehicle to astrologer

Abeygunawardene said that although he had not worked for Sri Lankan Airlines he had served as a director at the NSB for nearly 

eight years

.  He said

 that in July 2007 the former president had told him to take possession of the vehicle

. A person named Mr. Sumith was in possession of the vehicle prior to its collection.

Abeygunawardene added the vehicle was an N16 which he returned to the government on the 15th of January 2015.

He added that by that time he already had several vehicles including a Benz, Audi, and Peugeot. 

When a journalist questioned him on how he had received a vehicle from the Airlines when he was not an employee of that organization h

e responded that the question must be posed to Mahinda Rajapaksa instead.
